Shipping Samples to APS

  

Please note: The instructions below are for non-radioactive sample materials only.  If you are shipping radioactive sample materials, even if they contain only trace amounts of actinides, you must first contact your beamline scientist for instructions.  

  

Instructions for shipping pre-sealed mail-in samples and sample holders 

 If your samples will be prepared and sealed in Kapton tape in advance, and will require no additional preparation onsite, please click here for instructions. 

  

Shipping Address for non-radioactive sample materials 

 

Before sending a sample shipment to APS, you must first determine if the contents are hazardous or non-hazardous according to DOT regulations.  You may seek assistance from your home institution's shipping department, or consult section 14 the SDS for your materials. 

Please let your beamline scientist know when your shipment is sent. Tracking information is also appreciated.
